Chestnuts.

Sardinian chestnuts.

These come from Aritzo, a small village in the mountain

famous for its chestnuts.

Useful pumpkins..

Of course we had to celebrate an halloween night in Sardinia too..

especially when you have kids!

So when I prepared the pumpkin

I decided to keep some of the seeds and to dry them..

We will plant them in Fofo's garden next year

for the next halloween night!

Occhio di Santa Lucia.

This is something I used to find on the sand of the beach every day when I was a child, nowdays it rarely happens.
It belongs to a shell called ASTREA RUGOSA , it actually is "the door" of the shell.
It is used a lot in jewelry.
Big or small,it is a lucky charm, and is beautiful.
It is called Occhio di Santa Lucia, the Eye of Saint Lucia, this is probably related to the legendof the saint.

Sorry..it has been a while since my last post..
My summer has been very busy ...and I also was pretty sad since I lost 2 special persons...a dear friend Anna Rosa and a blog friend Barry.....

I was not in the mood of writing ..

I am back full time..I hope..
